Cheri has been diagnosed with throat and head cancer. Her treatment plan involves both radiation and chemotherapy. While all cancer sucks, fighting this type of cancer is particularly difficult because of its location. Cheri will require special nutritional supports because just swallowing will become very difficult. She has already endured two surgical interventions in order to support her treatments; a port a catheter and a feeding tube have been placed. Cheri has taken a leave from her work because managing treatment and the side effects that go along it are a full time job. If you know Cheri, you understand how profound it is for her to take this time away from work. In true Cheri fashion, she is taking the “bring it on” approach to this challenge. Cheri is very strong in her faith, and is well loved and supported by her family. Her girls are solidly by her side.
