My journey started in April of 2010 when I began to feel tingling, numbness, and pinching feelings all over my body, including my scalp. After 5 months of seeking help from numerous health care professionals and praying like a mad woman, I became so sick I decided to go to the emergency room at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. After a simple blood work up it was obvious that something wasn't right. I was hospitalized and two separate oncologists confirmed that I need to be moved and treated at Rush University Medical Center. So via a bumpy ambulance ride I arrived at Rush. It was confirmed that I have Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Alhough that was hard to hear, and the last few months have been hard, I’m ready to go into battle with the Lord; to fight the enemy. I have the strength to fight because God has so graciously reminded me who He is. My refuge my strength an ever present help in all kinds of trouble. Do not fear for me friends and loved ones. I have the greatest power in the entire universe on my side, watch Him move mountains!!!
