Donna was diagnosed with metastasized colon cancer December of 2015.  She had surgery in February of 2016 to remove the initial tumor.  While in the surgery the Dr.  looked around and was able to visually verify that the cancer was everywhere.  About a month after her surgery she started chemo treatments that would only prolong her life by no more than an average of 3 years.  The chemo did well at giving her some more time.  She was able to travel to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Spend a lot of quality time with her kids and grandkids!
We had to decide to not continue with chemo anymore back in April of 2017.  The chemo was no longer slowing the progression of the growing cancer.  Donna was given other chemo options to try but the side effects were not good.  She told the Dr. that she wanted to go down while standing up!  She wanted to have as much good quality of life as she could while she was dying.  Her faith and love in Christ is strong!
