Majestic Family and FriendsI have created a Caring Bridge site for Donna.  This is a place where April and I can give updates and progress on Donna's recovery.  You can write her notes and get well wishes also. Some of you may know or not know that Donna was rushed via ambulance to Baylor Grapevine where she was assessed and it was determined that she had an aneurysm on Tuesday.  Donna was then transported to Another hospital  Doctors tried to do a procedure called aneurysm coiling through her leg but it was not possible so Donna sent straight to surgery.  Donna had surgery on Wednesday.  The aneurysm was located on the front right side of her brain.  The operation was a success but when preforming such an invasion surgery time is the essence and can determine the overall healing and recovery process. As we all know Donna she is a strong, determined, faithful woman that no challenge is too big or too small.  April shared with me that Donna was up and taking steps a few times today.  She has a journey in front of her but I know she can and will overcome anything.  Since this was such a serious event and it will take time to recover the family asks that there are no visitors quite yet.  Donna is a very loving person, and as we want to return the love at such a dramatic time, the family asks that we try and keep the calls, texts and emails to a minimum. This site is great for communicating to the friends and family of Donna in one central area/log in for everyone.  Donna will be in the hospital for 2 weeks.  I am not certain if she will be released to go home or to occupational therapy.  Donna is speaking and no physical change/damage is apparent.  These next 2 weeks are critical for resting, healing, peace and calmness.  Several people have asked to bring meals.  I spoke with April and we decided that a meal every 3 to 4 days while Donna is in the hospital would ease the family since they will be going back and forth to the hospital  I will have a cooler on their porch to put hot or cold meals in for when they get home from work or the hospital.  Please remember that Larry (Donnas husband) works nights so he may be resting if you deliver food during the day so ringing the door bell is not necessary.  Dee Kelley has offered to take care of Fridays meal.  I will be creating an account on the Meal Train site for meal sign ups. I will send out an email once I have it set up.If you would like to contact me personally you all have my email address.  I have been checking in with Susan and April several times a day for status updates and will pass them along to you on this site.I know Donna and her family appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, concern and request more prayers for recovery.  If your daughters want to make a card or craft for Donna while she is in the hospital I would be happy to get it to the family. Email me and we can meet or I can give you my address and forward the items to Susan and April.  That is all for now Hugs, Love and Prayers Prayers PrayersMary Rose Eavesmaryrose.eaves@gmail.comI also wanted to let you know there are areas on her page to donate to Caring Bridge.  These donations are for Caring Bridge as a whole not directly to Donna.
