I have realized with this new journey I am taking that I have been overly Blessed with faithful, prayerful family, friends, co-workers. Caringbridge seemed to be the best road on this journey to let all of my family and friends stay in touch with my travels. Will also help my wonderful husband of 48yrs to focus on me and not having to worry about who to call, who did he miss calling, etc.  Now putting  the journey in reverse so you all will know where I am coming from and where I am going. In January, I had my routine colonoscopy done. Great that was over, but there's that little reason why we should do colonoscopies. Yep, to find the unknown. I was diagnosed with a serrated adenoma attached to my appendage of my appendix. Ok, little surgery to have both removed, should be able to do laparoscopically and outpatient. So I was referred to have the surgery by a colon and rectal surgeon, (hmm, they remove appendix?) not the case, bigger concern. The adenoma was also attached to my colon wall and could not be plucked out like they would a polyp. Colon resection would need to be done with the removal of appendix and adenoma. The Good news on this journey is all benign and can be done laparoscopically. But downside is that I will be spending 3-5 days at Abbott NW hospital.  Surgery is scheduled for April 17 ( new tax day,  should be able to remember) pray your taxes don't get audited and say a prayer for my surgery and the surgeons staff. Need 6 week recovery time. Provider said I was young and in good health, right chart? I knew I was in good health so praying all goes as planned and my summer will be amazing as are all my family and friends ( which includes my co-workers and great Avon customers ) blessings to all. Pray there is no fork in the road ahead.
