Welcome to my CaringBridge website! I  will use it to keep family and friends updated in one place, as a group. It's not so much medical updates, at this point - hopefully that continues! - I'm more working to frame it as reflecting growing health. I love writing it; and I hope that I'm adding a laugh, or something interesting, helpful,  or comforting, to your day.  

Fuller explanation of my medical situation is reflected in my first post at the beginning of the blog, downthread;  and I update from there with new, significant  information as I get it. The short of it is that I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in 2015, and was treated until I had "no evidence of disease." In August 2018, I was diagnosed with a recurrence in my T10 vertebra; and since then, more stuff has happened; details in the posts, below. Treatments are working, to some extent; and we're hopeful, even with the "Stage IV" terminology in play. I've been living with cancer for five years, and I'm ok. 

Reading a blog like this can take emotional energy as well as actual time. It's not a small thing to sign on to someone's cancer-triggered blog, no matter how it's framed. So, I deeply appreciate any reading/writing that you do to accompany me in this way.
