Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Donna and I am a 50 years old. I am married to Bill and have three amazing children. Twins, who are 20, Jake and Karrington and a 15 YO daughter, Jenna. Jake is currently serving in the Marine Corps, Karrington is a Sophomore at Curry College and Jenna is a Freshman in High School. My story, well my story could go on forever. To make it "simple", I am a person in recovery. I was born causing chaos. For many years I created hurt and deception through actions and decisions. I chose 9 years ago to turn my life around, or to put it better, "take a better road". I changed my career from dental assisting for 25 years to paying things forward, giving back, helping others see what "life in recovery is/means". I try to answer others and act immediately when they reach out. I try to do my best. A Probation Officer told me once "none of us are perfect, we can only try to be daily". That is my motto, what I try to do.. I really am a good person that cares for other suffering humans. So to quickly state why I am here....It seems KARMA does pay visits. She has been at my door quite frequently these past 12 days. On October 22, I was laid off from a supervisor position at a treatment program. I loved going to work everyday and simply "helping". I frantically applied through job sites, for any position I feel qualified for. Then on 10/26 I fell down my 15 wooden stairs. Significantly breaking my arm and other bruises. Limiting me to search for employment. But I didn't really allow this to limit me. Those addiction demons tried to crept in, tried to per-sway me into relapsing, but when I pulled out my, well supplied, mental, tool box and used the strength I knew I had, I prevented those triggers and my coping skills went into action. I completed many interviews face to face as well as via phone. There are three positions I feel as though are a "fit" for what I can offer. I am asking for prayers to be sent for good news this upcoming week.
