Starting in August, I had enough stomach discomfort I decided to see my family doctor. That led to a scan on Monday, 9/21, results the next day with subsequent ultrasound, several blood draws and on the 25th an appointment with a gynecologist oncologist at the Zangmeister Center. Unfortunately, I’ve been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Thankfully I was able to get in quickly to see the oncologist and he was able to schedule me for surgery Oct 1st (hysterectomy plus) at Mt. Carmel East. The quick scheduling of the surgery is a testament to the power of prayer and God's love. Randy, my boys and their families and Karen and Mark have loved me every step. My church family have and are blessing me. This has emotionally and physically drained me. I covet your prayers as we fight this battle, together. Love Donna
