Don had a stroke Thursday, May 25th around 8:30 pm. He was brought to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He had surgery on his carotid artery that had 2 blockages. They were able to unblock most of one and couldn't unblock the other.  Due to the stroke, he will have limitations with speech and motor skills. As of May 27, he is off the ventatotor and using a C-Pap to help his breathing. He has opened his eyes, squeezed hands, smiled, mumbled,  and even puckered to kiss  Harriette.
We are praying and staying positive with each up and down.  Don is surrounded with love and hope and it will continue to be that way.  He is still in critical condition so please continue to send prayers.
