Sometime on Wednesday, 2/6/2019 Don fell.  We may never know where/why he fell…but hopefully after he recovers we will be able to hear his side of the story.

Nancy (wife) was at work that day and returned around 8pm. When she arrived home Don was sleeping. Later that evening Nancy heard him throwing up, however, he was still able to get to and from the bathroom, so we assumed he was sick. He slept through Wednesday night and was still sleeping when Nancy left Thursday morning to head to appointments. When she arrived home later that afternoon, he was still sleeping. She tried talking to him, but he was acting unlike himself, and he was barely able to speak and was covering his head with his hands because light was bothering him. Around 6pm it was determined that he needed to go to the ER.

In the ER room they did a MRI & a CT scan which showed that he has 3 brain bleeds, a fractured eye socket & a broken nose. They transferred him to the ICU to closely monitor him.

The brain bleeds are in the inside and outer side of his brain. They are located on the front left side, which typically affects behavioral, emotional, impulsiveness & critical thinking, and his short-term memory. At this point, we are unsure if this injury will affect him…time will only tell.
