As many of you already know, Dad went into the intensive care unit at Palomar Medical Center on Sunday, May 20th, after he started feeling a lot of pain in his chest and back. He was diagnosed with a tear in his aorta, and the initial hope was that it would heal itself. A couple of days later, though, Dad and Mom, in consultation with the great doctors at Palomar, decided to undergo an operation to insert a stent into his aorta. The successful operation took place on Wednesday the 23rd, and now Dad is in the healing process.
