On Monday October 3, 2016 Don developed a left facial droop.  Several hours later in the emergency room it was discovered he had 2 masses in his brain... the largest was in the right frontal lobe.  The swelling around this mass was causing his facial droop.  He was started on large doses of steroids and anti-seizure medication.  On October 6, 2016 he had a biopsy.  After an agonizing wait we received his final pathology results from John Hopkins.  He has a primary brain cancer called Glioblastoma multiforme. (GBM) stage 4.  His first appointment with MD Anderson is October 17th at 11 am.  The expected course is whole brain radiation, chemo, and hopefully a trial to participate in.

Don is not simply a guy with brain cancer.  He is a loving husband to Judy- of 52 years, father to Paul, Susie, and Tommy, Paw Paw to 11 grandchildren, and great Paw Paw to 5 great-grandchildren. and friend to many.  We appreciate your continuous prayers as we begin this journey.
