We have been given the news that Don has esophageal cancer and it has spread to the bones.  We begin our journey with several new doctors and will attempt to keep you posted using this site as much as possible.  As of now has gone through two scope procedure, CT Scan and a PET Scan.  On Monday July 10 the GI Doctor put a stint in his esophagus to assist with swallowing. The esophagus is being blocked by the tumor.   This created some discomfort, but is improving daily.  He is still on a very soft liquid diet.  



We had an appointment with MN oncology today, that is when we discovered it has spread to his bones.  We have another appointment tomorrow to meet with another oncologist to discuss next steps.
