Our Journey continues.  Just when we thought we were both in good health, we found out otherwise.  Now it's my turn.  I have been having regularly scheduled colonoscopies for quite some time now due o the presence of polyps after each exam.  Several years ago, I went from an average of 3 or 4 to 25 and then 27.  The doctor was concerned and scheduled another test for six months.  That colonoscopy was Monday, 10/2/17, and 9 large polyps were found.  The doctor stated at that time that I have an "extremely high risk for colon cancer if I didn't have it already and recommended the removal of most if not all of my colon for my safety.  By doing this, the percentage of getting colon cancer is decreased significantly.  We just received the pathology results, and the polyps were not cancerous.  Praise God!  The doctor is convinced that diet is not the problem since our eating habits haven't changed.  He feels that I have a genetic mutation and will be running some DNA/Genetic testing for confirmation. In the meantime, we will be in discussions with our doctors, an Oncologist and an Oncology surgeon to determine what course of action is required. Now that we know, we will keep you posted on the steps of this journey. We ask for your ongoing prayers and support.
