For those of you who are not aware of it yet Dad will be brought home tomorrow Saturday and placed on hospice.  Since he was hospitalized with the shingles and pneumonia and then transferred to rehab he has declined physically and mentally. Physically he's unable to walk anymore and it is extremely difficult for him to even stand without much assistance and someone holding him.  Mentally he's extremely confused and has been visually hallucinating.  He still has a sense of humor in those moments where he is lucid, and understands that he will be coming home on hospice.
Being placed on hospice does that mean he's going to die in the next day or two it means we have chosen to bring him home so that he can live the rest of his life with peace comfort dignity and to the fullest possible.
He has had several people talk to him regarding what heaven is and and that he will definitely be going and meeting with Mom who he has long to do since she pass in March of 2015.
We would enjoy visitors and cards but at this time Dad is not able to hold a conversation on the phone.
I will continue to update this site on daily basis so that I can keep as many people informed as possible.
We thank you for your prayers visits cards and well wishes may you have a joyous New year.
