On May 31, 2018, Dominic experienced a leak from a previously undiagnosed cerebella brain aneurysm while driving to Tina's dad's funeral. The blackout resulted in a car accident and the death of his sister, his only sibling. Dominic was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center in Kingsport, TN where he spent a month after corrective brain surgery.  He completed inpatient and outpatient programs at the Shepherd Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta from 6 July until 20 Dec. During this time, he spent an additional 25 days in ICU during the fall after contracting bacterial meningitis. He rehabbed at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and in the Sinai Hospital TBI recovery day program called Return! and his prognosis is good. He recently finished his degree in Mechanical Engineering at VA Tech. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
