Dr. Roxanne Hollander Doctor Roxanne

On January 10, our friend and doctor Roxanne Hollander will be undergoing surgery to remove a tumor on her breast. She will be unable to work as a chiropractor for at least three weeks. There will be a colleague coming in on Saturdays from 8-1:00 to provide services for her patients. She hopes to return to the nutritional side of her practice in about three weeks. Carolyn will be in the office for scheduling, information, and supplements throughout this time.

Over the last 3-1/2 years, those of us who have witnessed Dr. Roxanne's diligent work with this health condition have gained great respect for the courage and commitment she has exhibited in walking her talk with regards to alternative approaches to health matters. At this writing, there appears to be no metastasis which in itself is a powerful statement to natural methods. The time has come, however, for her to be complete with this journey as guided by her inner voice - the same one that has guided her throughout this experience. We hope you too, in your life, as this new year and decade open before us, will listen and follow your inner guidance over anything else. As written in the book the Alchemist by, Paulo Coelho, listen to your heart.  It knows all things because it comes from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there.

We are setting up the caring bridge for one month to allow her friends and patients to offer their help with a meal (dinner) preparation, transportation, and bodywork. Carolyn Paden, Dr. Roxanne's office manager will be graciously managing this for us. Here are the three major ways you can help:

MEAL DROP-OFF:
You may sign up for a meal drop-off here on Caring Bridge by going to WAYS TO HELP,  then selecting the PLANNER, which includes the calendar dates (Tuesdays and Thursdays) when meals are being requested.  Simply click on the date you want to drop off a meal, and it will guide you from there.  There will be a cooler on the side porch of Roxanne's home/office where you can leave the meal.  We ask for dinner for three, as Roxanne will most likely not be alone during meals.

TRANSPORTATION:
If you are able to provide transportation to/from appointments, etc., please call Carolyn at 919-542-0325. She will be arranging all transportation and will add you to the rotation call list.

BODYWORK:
Roxanne knows that continued bodywork will be crucial to her healing. If you are a bodyworker/energyhealer and would like to gift Roxanne with her recovery in this healing mode, please call Carolyn at 919-542-0325 to be added to the bodywork list.  Carolyn will contact you directly to make arrangements.

Please avoid calling Carolyn for reasons other than your own appointments in the office, for transportation offers, or for bodywork offers.  Check this Caring Bridge page to read updates on how Roxanne is doing rather than calling Carolyn with your inquiries.  Eventually, you can speak with Roxanne directly once she is up to receiving phone calls.

We will keep this page updated, and sincerely appreciate all the ways in which you, her friends, patients, and loved ones are reaching out to her. It's time for the doctor to be the patient, and to be the recipient (albeit a reluctant one) after all the years she has been giving to her community.  Thank you so much for your care and kindness.
