Hello Friends and Family,  Thank you for visiting Lee's Caring-bridge site.  On Wed January 13, 2016 Lee was admitted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for some ongoing concerning symptoms of anemia, vision changes, headaches, increasing tiredness and pain over the last few months.  Following several days of testing Lee was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a type of blood cancer. Most concerning was the decrease of vision in his right eye in which they found a small tumor invading his optic nerve and had very high levels of protein in his blood causing the blood to be dangerously thick.  He has been a trooper through the ordeal that included radiation therapy and several hours a day having his blood filtered and cleaned by a machine. He has improved daily other than a small bout with a fever, but his appetite is good, is walking the hospital hallways and following doctors orders. He is looking forward to his discharge as much as we are.  At this time we have no treatment plan after discharge. There are still additional pending tests to confirm and establish what the next steps will be.
He really loves hearing from you all and knowing that you're thinking about him!! He really appreciates the Caring Bridge posts and inquires about them frequently - they really lift his spirits!!!  In addition, he really wants to be able to give individual responses which he can't do here on Caring Bridge so he is also requesting that folks e-mail him
at  seasons1@loretel.net.   His physical mailing address is 15769 Silverleaf Twp 6, Frazee, MN  56544.  Thank you for thinking of Lee and his family at this time. We are hopeful  in his recovery and look forward to hearing more from you all during this journey.
