On Wednesday October 7th 2020, Dixon was rushed to LRH via ambulance, due to breathing complications from contracting the COVID virus. His condition worsened and he was put on a ventilator Thursday and transferred to the St. Cloud Critical Care Unit on Friday October 9th. He has since remained sedated in a medically induced coma on a ventilator. His lungs have suffered great damage,  due to the virus with his body having a low immune system, caused by his years of  Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

The doctors have made it very clear that this process of his lungs and body healing, reactions to COVID medications etc, is going to be a very slow process.  We have been strongly encouraged and reminded to take one day at a time. He will remain in this condition until his oxygen levels reach a point that he can breathe on his own. As of today, his oxygen levels are at 55% which he needs at 21% to be taken off of the ventilator.

PRAYER WARRIORS NEEDED - Dixon is a stubborn, strong fighter!! The last few years battling his cancer has proven that time and time again. He and his body are tired and right now the deep rest that his body is getting while trying to heal, is exactly what he needs! But most of all, he needs PRAYERS.. SO MANY PRAYERS!!  His family needs PRAYERS. His life is built on so much faith, trust, and belief in the LORD'S plan. There is so much strength, faith, and love in his family. WE ALL JUST NEED PRAYERS at this time.

Barb gets to visit for one hour each day, receiving the updates from the doctors and spending time with Dixon.  We will keep this updated as new updates come in. It is SO APPRECIATED and comforting knowing so many are praying. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING, as the family is asking for the respect of privacy at this time.
