Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting our site that we created so everyone can keep up with Dillon's story and status.

THE QUICK BACKGROUND...
Dill was born on Monday 12/12/2016 @ 9pmEST and seemed perfectly healthy and happy.  Two days later, and only one hour before we were going to leave the hospital to take him home with us, Dillon started crying uncontrollably.  Luckily, Dillon's mother, Kelly, and Dillon's nurse, Christine, realized that this behavioral change wasn't something to ignore or take lightly.

Christine then figured out that Dill had quickly developed a fever, and then rushed him to the ICU for newborns (NICU) area.  Within only 3-4 hours from when Dillon started crying the doctors diagnosed Dill with an infection that was found in his spinal fluid.  The infection turned out to be meningitis caused by the e.coli bacteria, which had quickly spread throughout his body and into his brain causing Dillon's brain to swell inside of his tiny head.  This then led to a horrible domino effect of discomforts for Dillon, and a crushing heartbreak for our family.

The JOURNAL page above logs Dillon's first days in our world as he battles the bacteria that is attacking his fragile, newborn body.

Thanks for everyone's kind words and continued support.  Many have asked us how they can help, so here are a few things that would help us out...
   1. Please share this link with anyone who you think would be interested in knowing what's going on.  We are under a lot of stress and tight on free time, so we simply blasted this link out to some people and are counting on you to spread the word by sharing the link below via email, Facebook, etc, if you would be so kind:

   2. If you would like to message us, then please avoid our cell phones and instead contact us on our CaringBridge website or via Email:

   3. Please keep Dill in your thoughts and prayers. We want nothing more than to bring him home one day when he is healthy, hopefully sooner than later.

Thanks everyone. We love you!
Chris & Kelly

PS: Thanks to Jaime Needel & Aunt Sharon for pointing us to this CaringBridge website. It has helped Kelly and I so much already by saving us so much time each day, which allows us to spend more time with Dill by his bedside. Thanks so much ladies!  :-D
