Life can change in a matter of seconds. On the evening of September 10th Mark was riding his bicycle home on East Lake Boulevard in Lake Nebagamon around approximately 10 PM. He met a car on the road and was blinded by the lights so went to the shoulder and unfortunately went too far into the ditch and flew over his handle bars hitting his head. He was immediately unable to move his arms or legs. He remained in this position for about 10 hours until he was found the next morning. Miraculously he was found the next morning by the paper guy who was driving with his window down so was able to hear him screaming for help. We were also very lucky because the temperature overnight was 63 degrees. He was transported via ambulance to Essentia Health Duluth.
