Dianne Rae Honermann was admitted to the Mayo Clinic Health System (previously Immanuel St. Joseph) hospital in Mankato, MN on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 where she was diagnosed with COVID-19. She was initially cared for in the PCU, but was moved to the ICU on Tuesday, August 10th where she was placed on a ventilator due to increasing exhaustion and difficulty breathing. On Tuesday, August 17th, despite indications that she had been improving, she suffered a stroke from which she did not recover. Her family continues to use this CaringBridge site to keep family and friends updated. A Memorial Mass service will be held at a future time when we feel it is safe to gather again; new journal entries will communicate those details when those plans are made.
