As many of you know, Diane was struggling with diverticulitis over the last couple of months.  She was in the hospital and came home, hoping to gain her strength and to take care of Vern who was recovering from back surgery a few weeks prior to her hospital stay.

She was having trouble eating and keeping food down.  A few trips to the doctors office for vitamin B shots, which just didn't seem to help.   The doctor thought she was simple having trouble recovering from the diverticulitis spat and it was just going to take time.  The "C" word never entered into our mind.

She just wasn't getting better, so Brad took her to the doctor.   While at the doctors office she had an extreme sharp pain in her chest, she thought she was having a heart attack.  They rushed her to the ER, ran tests and said your heart is fine.  The doctor on call, said we did however find a mass on your lung, adrenal gland and a couple spots on your bone that appear to be cancer.  All spots appear to be 1-2 cm.

A couple of days later, a PET Scan, blood work and biopsy were done.

The PET scan revealed several spots throughout her body and two spots on her brain.

The next step is an appointment with an Oncologist to see what plan of action is possible.

I have been in Michigan for two and half weeks, going to appointments.  I will be there with her for the appointment at the Oncologist.

We are all thinking positive.  We welcome all prayers, as we believe in the power of prayer!
