As many of you know, Diane has been battling heart disease since 2003. She has had two open heart surgeries, one in 2003 and one in 2007. She has continued to experience problems with leaky valves, complicated by cancer treatment in 1989 and 1995. She was declined by Mayo Clinic for a heart/lung transplant in 2015. This last summer her condition deteriorated and she began in home hospice care this fall.

In December she declined rapidly and was moved to Kavanagh House on Tuesday, December 27, the day after her 54th birthday.

Diane has a wonderful husband, Greg, who has been by her side and supported her through all of this.

Diane has two sons. Her oldest, Aaron is 30 and has a wonderful wife Maggie who he married in 2012. Her youngest, Alex is 29 and married to a wonderful wife Amber since 2010. They have two daughters, Jocelyn, 4 and Geneva, 2.

Diane and I are very close (16months apart) and this journey has been heartbreaking.   Our Mom, Sally, has been a great support with many prayers and smiles. Our brothers, Doug and Bill, live in San  Jose, CA and Melbourne, FL , respectively. Both have been back to visit recently but it is difficult for both to be so far away.

I will continue to update this site as much as possible to keep everyone informed.
