This site was created at the encouragement of dear friends and our need to let everyone know that everything is fine.  God’s got this!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 


We are just realizing how blessed we are to have so many family and friends that we want to talk to but are finding it is exhausting and draining to have to process the story over and over and over again. 


So here it is.  I had a very severe headache on Tuesday, July 26.  After leaving work and going all the way home despite the recommendation of the nurse that I spoke with to go to the emergency room, I finally asked Morgan to take me to Fairview Ridges ER.  After checking in it really didn’t take long at all to get a CT scan, an MRI and then the diagnosis…4-5 hours at the most.They found a meningioma on the top of my brain that measures 5 cm x 3 cm x 3 cm (a cm is approximately the width of your finger). 


Again, it is BENIGN!  And it is not in my brain but up on top of the meninges (skin-like layers).  It has been slow-growing and poses no immediate risk but if not removed could lead to more headaches, seizures, etc. 


So, I will have surgery Tuesday, August 2 at 10:30 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina to remove the tumor.  My surgeon is Dr. Rohan Rajiv Lall. I have been encouraged by so many friends already that have shared stories of their loved ones who have gone through the same experience and now are living completely normal lives with no problems or additional health risks. 


I covet your immediate/daily prayers and your prayers at 10:30 on Tuesday.
