In mid-January 2016 a tumor was discovered in Diane's brain. Through the weeks and months that followed, she experienced two brain surgeries, one and one-half series of radiation and a wide variety of other things. At this point, the cancer has spread aggressively through her brain and spine.
Most of the journal entries before June 7, 2016 came from Facebook posts that we used to keep friends up-to-date. The week of May 31 through June 7, Diane was in the hospital and I wrote those entries on June 7 to bring the journal up-to-date.
