Diane Evans Diane Evans...the journey

It's Angie...the sister in law in Iowa....Thank you for visiting. This will be an opportunity for us to share the progress of Diane's treatment and progress...and for you to share messages of HOPE and LOVE. I know the last week has not been easy for Diane.

Here is the nutshell version:  Diane was having extreme pain and went to see her gastro, a physician she knows personally as their children attended the same private school. An ultrasound showed pancreatic cysts and he ordered a CT scan.

She was diagnosed Tuesday, January 30th with advanced pancreatic cancer, after meeting with her gastro and learning what was on her CT. (Mallory turned 17 on Wednesday. both Will and Jackson flew in Thursday and stayed for the weekend...they celebrated Mallory's awards at a ceremony downtown...and the kids made arrangements to meet with one of her doctors).

Yesterday she met with an oncologist and today (Feb 7th) she met with physicians at Levine Medical who specialize in pancreatic cancer. She is hopeful beyond after meeting with the specialists today. She will get her port in tomorrow and begin chemo treatments on Wednesday next week. Diane will share updates as well...she isn't sleeping great and finds herself reading in the night...messages here will be great reading material...hint hint. Thank you for sharing such love so quickly with her.   Angie
