Diane has been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer with lesions on her liver.  As awful as this is, we are all hopeful that treatment will prevent it from progressing.

Diane is having a biopsy today to confirm the stage of cancer and treatment options will ensue from that. She is having a port put in her chest to administer chemo treatments this Thursday.

The oncologist is wanting to expedite treatment as soon as possible. Diane and Greg have asked that we set up a Caring Bridge site to keep everyone updated on her progress and to organize meals, share ideas and talk about possible ways to continue to help the family as treatment progresses. We will receive updates from Greg and relay the information via Caring Bridge. Please register on Caring Bridge and then go to Diane's page for updates and to post messages to her! Look for Diane Carlson2.   Web address is: www.caringbridge.org (http://www.caringbridge.org).

Diane asked for this site to alleviate the need to have to tell her story (progression of events and how it was diagnosed) multiple times to concerned friends and family. This site will allow her to see your messages and reply as she is able to.  Although she may wish to respond to all texts and phone calls, she asks everyone to please understand if she is unable to do so. Cards are wonderful, prayers are needed and Humor is always welcomed.

As for meals...once chemo starts the Carlson's have requested twice weekly meals instead of everyday. We will set up a meal rotation on Caring Bridge and then everyone can see what others have made and sign up for open spots. We  will talk to Greg and coordinate what days may be best based on her chemo schedule(doctors are planning on weekly chemo treatments for awhile).

As if this whole situation is not heart breaking enough, Diane lost her father a few days before Prom (in May) and recently Diane’s mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is receiving her first chemo treatment this week.  We will post Mrs. Lewellenn's (Diane's mother) address on Caring Bridge once we have it for any of you who would like to support her in this time as well.

We all know this family is amazing and resilient and will persevere but we need to rally around them and pray for strength, peace and healing as they face this diagnosis.

We know you all and have no doubt that your love and support will carry them through this time.

Blessings and Hope for Diane's recovery,

Brandy Ciccarelli & Anne LeMieux
