Diana had a series of serious health events the second week of August. She went to the hospital where doctors discovered she had suffered some strokes that have affected her mobility and language functions. While we don't yet have a complete picture of her condition, we do know that recovery from strokes takes place over an extended time. That's why your support and words of hope are so important.

Diana is lucky to have so many caring friends and extended family members who want information about her condition. We hope to post updates here two times weekly (mid-week and the weekend). Please know that Diana and her family value your concern and offers of help. The best ways to support her right now are through positive thoughts and prayers and encouragement. She is not able to speak on the phone nor send text messages.  We’ll also let you know when it might be possible to visit with her, but for now, that is not an option. Instead, perhaps you can post a message on this site or on her Facebook page so that her parents can show it to her. Thanks so much for caring. ###

ESPAÑOL: Diana tuvo una serie de eventos de salud graves en la segunda semana de agosto. Fue al hospital donde los médicos descubrieron que había sufrido algunos accidentes cerebrovasculares, conocidos también como derrames cerebrales, que afectaron su movilidad y lenguaje. Aunque no tenemos una imagen completa de su condición, sabemos que la recuperación de estos derrames se lleva a cabo durante un tiempo prolongado. Es por eso que su apoyo y palabras de esperanza son tan importantes. 

Diana tiene suerte de tener tantos amigos cariñosos y familiares que quieren información sobre su condición. Esperamos poder publicar actualizaciones en esta página dos veces por semana (a mitad de semana y en fin de semana). Por favor, sepan que Diana y su familia valoran sus preocupaciones y sus ofrecimientos de ayuda. Las mejores formas de apoyarla en este momento son a través de pensamientos positivos, oraciones y palabras de aliento. Ella no puede hablar por teléfono ni enviar mensajes de texto. Les haremos saber cuándo pueda ser posible visitarla, pero por ahora, esa no es una opción.
