Diana will be undergoing a craniotomy/micro vascular decompression (brain) surgery for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia on March 2, 2016.
We expect a 3-4 hour surgery with one night in ICU, 3-5 nights in hospital, and a 6-8 week recovery.
At first she will not be able to accept visitors as she will be in ICU. Her recovery is expected to be quite difficult and it's unknown when she will be ready to accept visitors, but you can reach me (Amy) at 719-310-8810 to find out when she is ready to see you. In order to allow her to rest, communication is best made through this site or through me while she heals. (She has a hard time staying away from her phone and needs to concentrate on healing.)
Diana's dear friend Ann will be visiting from California for the first week. Our beloved aunt Terry will visit from Virginia the second week.
My mom is a popular gal with lots of beloved friends. Because I have been made aware of my need for physical help due to a broken back and separated shoulder, we will take you up on offers to help with meals, light housekeeping, or providing friendly company if you would like to help. Contact me when the time is right. 719-310-8810. We are on mountain time.
