On Thursday, doctors in Anchorage found a 6.3cm tumor in Devon’s cervical and thoracic spine. They feel it is cancerous because of its location, size, and Devon’s young age. Social workers helped facilitate for Devon and her family (mom Lena, brother Colton and grandma Cynthia) to fly to Seattle Sunday night so she can have surgery at Seattle Childrens. They spent the day Monday at the hospital meeting with the care team and discussing surgery plans. At this point, surgery is scheduled for Friday morning. Hopefully after surgery we will have more answers. We promise to keep everyone updated as soon as there is info on her progress and plan of care. Thanks so much to everyone for your love, support and prayers!!
