Hope I can do Devin's important story Justice.
Here it goes....
Around 6pm April 16 Devin was at the house talking with his dad his aunt rikilynn and uncle rob, mid conversation they knew something was wrong. Because of their very quick reaction Devin was in the emergency room within a half hour of the call to 911. A very quick assessment and a very quick talk to his dad and I the doctors wisked him away for tests. They found a small clot in his brain right away that caused him to have a stroke. Surgery and fast was the best solution. By 9 pm he was already out of surgery and we waited for news. 930 pm the surgeons said they were able to get the clot out but because of his congestive heart failure which he was diagnosed in December 2016 the doctors said when he was on the table he did need some compressions and had to be intebated. He was brought up into the ICU. Devin at first showed  signs his right side was a little weak from the stroke. But everyday he has not made just small improvements but big ones. We don't know about his speech yet but it does look really good for a full possible recovery from the stroke. BUT his heart is what is struggling. It has gotten a wee bit weaker since the stroke and it really did not have the room for that in the first place. Everyday he struggles. His heart is strong for a weak heart. Everyday the tests are getting better but not enough to pass the tests. He has to be awake for these tests and he gets very sad and frustrated about the tube.Everyday we get closer to puling the tube out but they just want to make sure medically what we already know. His heart is strong. Thank you too ALL our family and friends for keeping Devin in your thoughts and prayers. I will update as often as I can.....

Love always
Ruth
