A few months ago, Denny began feeling constant fatigue. Along with the fatigue he exhibited other symptoms all synonymous with the symptoms found in the link below. He visited the hospital several times, but diagnoses were incomplete and/or incorrect. Last Sunday, October 9th, he became bedridden due to extreme pain in his legs. With Denny being Denny, he tried to "tough it out". On Wednesday October 12th, the family intervened and made him go to the emergency room where he was admitted to Community Memorial Hospital in Menominee Falls, WI. Upon admission, he was diagnosed with Endocarditis, a condition involving a bacterial infection of the heart. It is a strong possibility that he acquired this disease from a dental procedure he had done in June, where bacteria from his mouth got into his bloodstream and has been growing ever since. Although the disease is considered "treatable", a strong possibility exists for open heart surgery since his condition is so advanced.
My dad will obviously not be able to work while he is fighting this disease. A lot of people have been asking how they can help with his struggle, so I will be setting up a Go Fund Me account to help him with the astronomical costs of fighting this disease.
