On Monday 10-18-21 Den went in St.Joseph Mercy Hospital for a triple bypass surgery.  The surgery took 5 hours and they were only able to clear 2 of the 3 arteries due to the 3rd artery being calcified beyond repair.  Tests indicated his heart was functioning at only a 20% level at the time of surgery.  His thoracic surgeon, Dr. Sood, said of the over 4000 surgeries he's done that Den’s arteries were the worst he's ever seen.  Dr. Sood wasn’t sure Den was even going to make it through surgery and felt strongly Den must have several angels watching over him.  ❤️❤️.  He’s making progress everyday and we’re confident with all the prayers, love and support from family and friends as well as our faith in God that Den  continue to make great strides in his recovery and be back home in no time!! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

To anyone out there still smoking cigarettes - PLEASE QUIT!!!  Decades of smoking is the primary cause of Den’s severe artery calcification!!
