Cancer isn't something that I am experiencing on my own. It is a "we" thing. Patty, my loving wife and I tell well wishers we have cancer. We laugh about a text Patty sent me when we were dating. The salutation read, "Good morning Liverboy". Auto check had changed lover to liver. Now when she calls me her liverboy it is spoken with much love.
Two years ago a routine physical examine showed abnormalities on my blood tests. Referral to specialists and additional tests indicated treatment and medication was nessesary to heal a long undetected health condition. A suspicious spot on the xray meant more tests. Thus began our trips out of state to the Liver Transplant Center in Denver.
