In November of 2016, Dennis had hip replacement surgery.  Upon recovery of that surgery, he faced many health challenges including walking pneumonia and then eventually catching Influenza A.   From November to the present, Dennis has wrestled with his recovery and has been fighting fevers, fatigue and a variety of health issues that caused us to admit him into Methodist Hospital.  After extensive examinations and undergoing tests, including a biopsy of his lymph nodes and bone marrow, the diagnosis has resulted in Dennis having Stage 3 Lymphoma.   He was released from the hospital on Saturday, 2/18/17 and is now resting comfortably at home under the care of Unity Point Hospice and his family.   Dennis is too weak to treat the cancer, so we will now focus on keeping him comfortable and take our journey one day at a time.   We know that our Heavenly Father is our Creator and giver of life and we, as a family, are surrendered to His perfect will and plan for Dennis and our family.
