Dennis was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2016 to go for testing and was diagnosed with a tumor in the brain. On Tuesday, July 26, the tumor was removed. The prognosis of the tumor was Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4. It was a lone, primary tumor, leaving the rest of his body cancer free. As of right now, Dennis is recovering from his cranial surgery. He is currently meeting with doctors to weigh out the options for the next steps of his treatment. Dennis is in good mental and spiritual health so far through this journey. He has continued to be the rock of the family and provides the standard level of humor that we all have come to love. Family and friends would give the biggest support with prayers. Of course, keeping in touch with Dennis is always a plus as he enjoys the company of his loved ones. Not keeping busy takes a lot out of him. We all know that he needs to keep himself busy! Dennis is a loving and hardworking husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loves to see the joy in his family’s eyes in any way that he can put it there. He is a good “fixer,” as his grandchildren put it “Papa can fix anything.” His woodworking skill is amazing and will take on any challenge that one comes up with. Dennis has a strong spiritual relationship with God and continues to share his love with those around him.
