Dennis daRosa

On July 17th, 2019, 6 days after Dennis's 70th birthday, Dennis had a seizure at work on Martha's Vineyard. He was taken to MV Hospital and they initiated the protocols for a patient showing signs of a stroke, and took scans which were inconclusive. The ER doctor thought he needed to see a neurologist, so he, along with his son Philip, was flown via helicopter to Beth Israel in Boston. After further tests there was further question about whether we were dealing with a stroke or a tumor. To make a long story short, it was eventually determined that he has a grade 4 glioblastoma, which is an aggressive, cancerous brain tumor.

As of October 16th, Dennis has undergone surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, and will be continuing with chemotherapy and radiation as soon as he is healed up from the procedure.

This CaringBridge page is where we will be posting updates on Dennis's progress through treatment.
Thanks so much for all your support, love and friendship.
