Dennis Collette

Dennis is a young man who is healthy and active with a great sense of humor.  One day on December 15th his parents noticed a lump above his collar bone that was about the size of a golf ball.  Because he showed no other signs of being sick like a fever or coughing his pediatricians office recommended waiting a few weeks to see if the swelling went down.  But something didn't sit well with his parents.  They decided to push to have his blood labs run.  The tests were run late on a Friday so they had to wait until Monday get the results.  Monday came and he was cleared of any infections.  So what was it?  It wasn't until late Tuesday afternoon the call came in his white blood cell count was high and needed to go to the emergency room for more tests.  Wednesday a bone marrow biopsy confirmed he had T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  This is where his story of fighting cancer began.
