Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.   The list of "people to text" during and after surgery had become overwhelming so a friend suggested we do a Caring Bridge site so we can post "once and done".  We are so very grateful that God has blessed our life with so many caring, loving friends that communicating had become a problem! Open heart bypass surgery is scheduled Wednesday, June 8th. at Vanderbilt.   We have to arrive bright and early at 5:30 AM.  Surgery to begin at 8 am.   We are facing triple, possibly quadruple bypass, however we have been told that his heart is strong, there is no muscle damage because this was caught before he had a heart attack, so his long term prognosis is excellent.  Please pray for the surgeon, Dr Clayton Kaiser, and his team that God enables him to use the talents that God gave him, that Dennis has a successful surgery and his body can heal properly, for Michele and Dana and our grandchildren as the "Strong Rock" of the family gets back to his old self, for Mr. Macadoodle  because he won't understand why he can't lay in his favorite place, "Daddy's lap" (see above picture)  for awhile, and for me as his primary care giver for the next 6-8 weeks.   I am at a loss for words to express how grateful and appreciative we are for the outpouring of love, support and encouragement we have received to date..and he hasn't even had his surgery yet....God has his hand all over this, and we are trying very hard to "let go and let God"  for the next 5 days.  I'm not sure we are being very successful.  Yet another speed bump in this wonderful journey called life.  We feel so blessed to have each other, and so incredibly blessed to have so many caring friends to help us thru this journey.  We truly love each and every one of you.    "Big D" and Becke....
