Denise Maier

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. On Thursday August 18th, 2016 Denise was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer of the tongue and neck.  Unfortunately, the tumor is currently too large to operate on so she is will be doing a concurrent chemo and radiation schedule.  The radiation will be done 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, and chemo will be completed every Wednesday for 6-7 weeks.  The tumor will be assessed weekly to determine it's growth, and monitored regularly.  Due to some side effects of radiation, she had a feeding tube placed to ensure she is getting the right nutrients, even if she doesn't feel like eating.  We are very thankful for all of your support and prayers!
