Delaney Hoag Delaney Claire Hoag

On Christmas, Delaney Claire Hoag was hospitalized with RSV and pneumonia. For the last week and a half, the Hoag family has relied on the wonderful care of the physicians, nursing and administrative staff of Sacred Heart Children's Hospital's pediatric ICU (PICU).

RSV takes quite some time to get over and the Hoag family needs our support.  It is currently a day by day situation giving Delaney the care she needs to get well and fight this horrible illness. She continues to take small steps forward toward healing and weaning off the medications and ventilator. Since being admitted into the hospital, Delaney has been fully sedated on a paralytic so that the ventilator can do the heavy lifting. The next milestone will be weaning her off the ventilator.

The doctors at Sacred Heart want to continue this positive trend without doing anything drastic, so slow and steady is the planned course with at least one more week in the PICU.

Many of you have asked what you can do to support the Hoag family through this terrifying ordeal. This site is meant to provide those near and far an opportunity to help out this incredible family with the costs associated with the level of care required . Any support is incredibly appreciated.

We will continue to provide updates as we receive them on milestones achieved. Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and love for the Hoags and sweet little Laney. Our community is so grateful.
