On Saturday, April 8, Declan became weak and non-active from the waist down. Declan was transferred from Sioux Falls, SD to Minneapolis by plane Saturday evening and admitted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. Declan is being cared for by Pediatric ICU providers and specialists for Transverse Myelitis. Transverse Myelitis is a neurological disorder caused by inflammation of the spinal cord.
April 26 Update - Declan is now home! He will continue his healing, PT and OT from home. He still has work ahead of him; your continued support, prayers, and words of hope and encouragement are very appreciated.
Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child, Declan Carter, and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which is yours alone to give. Relieve his pain, guard him from all danger, restore him your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
