This journey that I am sharing with all of you is a direct result of the outpouring of love and support shown to me by so many in recent weeks. During January 2017/February 2017 I was in the hospital 3 of 4 weeks, a result of being diagnosed in December with bladder cancer and breast cancer, unrelated to each other. Although diagnosed locally, I have decided to continue the fight at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ , where my sister Ronnie lives and wants to help me with my health journey. I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of care and support, especially from my sisters Ronnie and Maddy along with friends Marykay and Carol whom I call my sisters from another mother :) Thanks to all of you who have visited, sent well wishes and phoned me during this time.
I will be leaving Albuquerque on Sunday February 26 for Scottsdale and will begin treatment right away. I invite you to share this journey with me, I will be providing updates and stories to tell during this time, and I encourage you to post on this private site created for my family and special friends. Will see you when I return to Albuquerque in the spring.
