On Christmas Day mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. With what started out as a pesky cold quickly turned into being something much different. Mom made the decision to be admitted to the University of Minnesota Hospital to receive her care. She is currently receiving some hefty doses of Chemo...well who's kidding it's not the light its fully leaded. We (Deb, Bing, Charile, Betsy(Neil) and Andy) ask that she doesn't have any visitors at this time. Because they are throwing the book at her she will, very soon, no longer have an immune system and risk for infection is gravely high.  Along with no visitors (other than immediate family) she also CAN NOT have any flowers/plants/"extra"food in her room. If you feel so compelled to send some the Nurses are very happy to decorate their stations with beautiful arrangements and fill their bellies with countless goodies. However, she would very much appreciate an EMAIL:  dsalic@bevcomm.net (save your stamps remember the lady is blind so let her iPAD read it to her) We will be updating this site with any news that we have so come here an get it straight from the horses (Betsy's) mouth.
