Let me first say thank you to everyone who has helped our family over the last few days. Your support and concern has been tremendous and has made this difficult time easier.

Debra was in a bicycle accident on The first of October and fractured her hip. The next morning they took her to the OR to fix the broken bone. Shortly after the surgery, Debra had a stroke and was transferred to KU Medical Center. She has been in the neuro ICU since then and will likely remain here for a few more days. While she is still very sleepy, she is able to talk and is in many ways her normal self. Debra will need intensive rehabilitation services over in the following weeks and months, but she is making progress every day.

I want to reiterate how much it means to us to have such wonderful friends. I can't imagine how we would get through this without the support you all have shown.

Thank you all again for everything you have done and continue to do.

Neil
