Welcome to Deb's CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. First, thank you all for the support, prayers, texts, cards, Facebook posts and more on Deb's behalf. Deb has been diagnosed and confirmed to have pancreatic cancer (Stage IV). Stage IV means the cancer has metastasized and has spread to other organs. In Deb's case that means it has spread to her liver. When pancreatic cancer has metastasized it also means that surgery to remove the malignant tumor on her pancreas is not an option. Deb's best option at this point is chemotherapy. Tomorrow, June 27, 2016 Deb will have a mediport placed in her vein which will be used to administer the chemotherapy components she will receive later in the week. We (Cara and Kevin) have been in awe of the strength and courage that Deb has show during this past month as she has learned of her diagnosis. Her steadfast faith not only carries her through this difficult time but it also carries us as well. Deb has shared as her core beliefs: God is sovereign, God is always good, God is always right. And when times get really tough Deb adds, "...no matter what". Please continue to keep Deb and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Feel free to forward this Caringbridge link to others. Thank you.
