I have been sick with "a cold" since Monday, June 7. I thought I was managing it reasonably well.  Until Friday morning when I literally could not get out of bed. I finally realized I needed help. I didn't think I could manage calling 911, because I couldn't breathe well enough to communicate.  Then I remembered that I  could send a text to 911. I spent several minutes typing a line at a time with rest breaks in between.  I was taken to Two Twelve Medical Center where I was diagnosed with COVID-19.  I was subsequently transferred to Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia for overnight observation.  Saturday morning my status was changed from observation to inpatient.
