Debi Henry

The time has come to share with you what is going on with Debi. Our wife, mother, grandmother. After months of seeing several types of doctors to try to understand what was happening, an answer was finally found.  This was not an answer any of us had ever considered, and to be honest, it saddens us greatly.  We were given the difficult and challenging diagnosis that Debi had Lewy Body Dementia. Starting March 1, 2022, she has been hospitalized over 5 times at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee.  She has received excellent care from the nurses, aids, doctors and everyone that works there. As much as we would love to see Debi come home, it has come to a time where we are working with social workers to find a long-term care facility as we can no longer keep her safe at home.

Over the last several months Becca (daughter) has been able to take care of her during the day while Mick continued to work. Mick then took what we jokingly called “second shift”. She has also been able to spend time with daughter Katie, son Cory and dear friends and family. She has been up to the cabin, been in her garden, and had experienced a lot of joy.

We are not sure what the future will bring, but we will continue to update you via this forum.
