Dealing with the pandemic, retiring from my job of 29 years which was a ‘second home’ for me, and celebrating my 70th birthday, should have been enough for me during 2020-2021 but fate had more in store!  The lung disease (IPF) that I have been dealing with for the past 6 years began to progress more rapidly.  The only “cure” for this disease is to qualify for a lung transplant.  For the past 5 months, I have been going through the transplant evaluation testing at BJC.  On Thursday, March 11, I was given the news that I would be put on the transplant list by Tuesday, March 16.

I know that I have not talked about this earlier with most of you but now that there is a chance at this solution, I wanted to share it with you.

Once I am called for the transplant, my daughter and daughter-in-law will take over communications. (Be assured they are experts at that).  IF you need to contact them, here is their information:

Not only me, but my entire family, appreciates your expressions of concern, healing thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for all your support and friendship in the past and the future.
